I turned 23 today. Because I still had to work I thought I would do something a little special at work. Apple pie is one of my favorite things so I brought in 2 of them from Backers Square to share with my team.

While I was at work I got a call from Progressive. They told my that my car was a total loss. I was actually glad to hear this because now I can just go out and buy a new car rater then having to wait for it to get repaired. It also sounds like Progressive is going to pay almost the full amount. I was pleased to hear that.

Here are some pictures of the left side that hit the guardrail. For those that don’t know, it was raining and the car fish tailed when I was going around a turn. The car then slid sideways into the guardrail. When I hit I was going slow enough so I didn’t get hurt or even thrown around. The air bags didn’t even deploy. It felt like such a light bump that I felt like there wouldn’t have been very much damage until I got out of my car to look at the damage. I guess they make cars like a sponge on the out side to protect the people on the inside.



I stopped by the body shop that my car was at on the way home. They took off the broken pieces to reveal the damage. The engine and interior is fine. So the body took all the damage.

I went home grabbed Heidi and met up with my parents, Tyler, and Nikki for dinner at Rudy's Redeye Grill. The food is fantastic so I loaded my stomach up. I got some nice gifts and it was nice having dinner with my family for my birthday.
