Curling and Soccer
Curling:I went Curling with the New Hire Club at work today. It was actually a lot of fun. The game is fairly simple and not too physically demanding. However, I did work up a little sweat when I was doing the sweeping.
2 teams of 4 people each. Each person throws 2 stones for a total of 16 stones thrown. The stones bounce like billiard balls and it seems like they can curve 4 feet to the left or right. Sweeping makes them go faster and straighter which is part of the strategy. Only one team scores at a time like horse shoes but each rock is only worth one point. It would be a lot fun to get a group together to try it.
Soccer:
This was our first of three games in the playoffs. (The game was at 11:00 pm!!!) We won 3 to 2 where I scored one goal. (No red cards this time.) Out of 12 teams, with 4 wins, and 2 losses, the best we can do is 5th place and the worst would be 8th. It should be exciting.
