Giants Ridge (day 3)
We got up really early (9:00) so we could be out of our villa by 10:00 am. Dad, Mom, Tyler and Nikki headed back to the Twin Cities while Kay, Drew, Rachel, Heidi, and I went back to the slopes. Drew and I went hard at snowboarding, and we even did some heads up racing. When we raced, we would both take the same optimal line, and our speeds were so closely matched that we would end up bombing the hills with our boards within 6 inches at times.The Chambers clan ended up taking off at 3ish and then Heidi and I did some runs together. She ended up getting quite good by the end of the weekend. She was cruising down the hill on both edges with out falling. We ended up leaving around 5:00 after a solid day of boarding.
Overall the weekend was awesome. Snowboarding was great, weather was good. It couldn't have been much better. I definitely recommend Giants Ridge and the Villas. Not as good at the places in Colorado but good for MN.
